Laser Tracker for High-Precision Mechanical Dimensional Inspections
Gaiagroup provides advanced dimensional control services using the Laser Tracker, a cutting-edge technology for the precise measurement of mechanical objects. This tool captures specific points on the object’s surface, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency.
How the Laser Tracker Works
Gaiagroup’s system consists of:
- Hexagon AT403 Tracker System: Emits a laser beam to measure distance and position.
- Sphere/Probe: A retroreflective device placed on the object
- Tripod: A stable support for the tracker.
The tracker sends a laser beam that strikes the sphere positioned on the object. The laser reflection allows precise determination of the distance and position of the measured points, creating a point cloud for detailed analyses such as distances, interaxes, and diameters.
Technical Specifications
- Range: Up to 80 meters
- Accuracy: 15 microns + 5 microns/m
Application Sectors
Gaiagroup’s Laser Tracker is ideal for industries requiring high-precision measurements, including:
- Naval Industry
- Aerospace
- Automotive
- Precision Mechanics
Used for surface inspections and alignments, as well as theoretical vs. actual verifications, it enables the measurement of complex structures without the need for repositioning, significantly reducing the margin of error.
